EXTENSION TO LADBROKE GROVE PLATFORM

1st March 2007

London Underground have applied to RBKC for an extension of the platform to the west.

The extension will go from its current position all the way up to No 22 Ruston Mews. The main reason is that they want to use a longer train on this line.

The planning application can be viewed here.

The impact on the mews will be overlooking into the affected houses, increased noise because of the worn rails being travelled over by a longer train for greater time and increased speed and reduced security arising from people being able to see into the affected houses.

If you wish to object to this appplication, you have 21 days to respond, please go to the private forum where more information will be made available or email directors@rustonmews.co.uk for more info.

There is a pack of information on the work so far in the private Forum under News.

The latest news is that a meeting was held with TfL and Metronet on 10th May. Minutes of this meeting and alternative proposals are available under News in the private forum.

NEW WEB SITE FOR RUSTON MEWS GOES LIVE 2ND MARCH 2007

26th February 2007

The community of Ruston Mews now has a new web site which we hope you will enjoy and make it easier to find out about life and living in the mews.

Besides providing detailed information on the mews and Ruston Mews Association, the site also provides a Property page where those who live in Ruston Mews together with residents in the wider community can exchange information on houses for sale or rent, advertise items for sale or wanted or even post information on local services that they recommend.

We hope this will prove helpful to residents so please feel free to use it as you wish. All you have to do to post information on the site is to register with a username and password of your choice and log on.

Another useful feature of the site is a private area for the residents of Ruston Mews where you can find a range of information on planned projects, Association information and the latest Resident's Information Sheet which can be downloaded.

There is also a forum where residents can add their views to anything that pertains to the mews, it's proposed projects and other topics which may intererest other residents.

Bona fide residents should request the access passwords by completing the form on the Forum page. By registering on the site as a resident, you will also be able to receive emails with news and other items that pertain to the mews, which we hope will much improve communications.

We hope you will enjoy and use the site and help us continue to build it into a valuable resource in the coming years.
